Wild Animal Information
On World Environment Day, June 5, 2024, Nisargraja Mitra Jiwanche launched the Vanyajiv Parichay project. This initiative recognizes that along with plants, animals are an integral part of our environment. For a healthy ecosystem, the existence and preservation of animals cannot be overlooked.
Project Overview
The primary objective of the Vanyajiv Parichay project is to introduce people to the diverse variety of animals, insects, reptiles, and snakes that surround us. We aim to provide comprehensive information about their existence, habitats, and whether they are wild or domestic. Additionally, we educate people on various laws related to wild animals and share knowledge about venomous and non-venomous snakes.
Project Highlights
Daily Animal Information: For over 200 consecutive days, we shared digital information about different animals, including their habitats and legal protections.
Wide Reach: Our educational content reached more than 650,000 people daily through social media platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp.
Conservation Focus: By raising awareness, we aim to help save animals that are becoming increasingly rare.
Key Contributors
The success of the Vanyajiv Parichay project was made possible with the support of wild animal experts from Scales and Tales NGO. Special thanks to Ritesh from the Scales and Tales team for his invaluable contribution in gathering and providing accurate information.
Future Plans
We are excited to announce that the second phase of the Vanyajiv Parichay project is in the planning stages. Building on the success of the first phase, we aim to continue spreading knowledge and promoting the conservation of our wildlife.
